It has been well established that alumni are important for continued development of their alma mater. But today their role in global growth of universities has gained further prominence. Ms. Jodie Sperico, Chief of Alumni and Employer Engagement at the Long Island University writes, “As institutions look to recover from the disruption of the pandemic, re-engaging alumni provides the key opportunity to foster a lifelong learning culture and drive retention.” At DBUU we believe this has to be a continuous effort.
Earlier this year, DBUU organized its Alumni Meet, which was a Homecoming for our ambassadors all over the world, who have proven themselves in various industry sectors. As they returned to campus to soak in the nostalgia, they also brought their wealth of experience and networks to the table. At DBUU alumni engagement is not just a standalone event; our active Alumni Association is buzzing throughout the year, to harness the potential of the network creating opportunities for our institution and present day students.
Here are just some of the ways in which a strong alumni network can offer universities long-term benefits and result in overall global growth.

Alumni too can draw on the resources their universities bring them. They can include access to knowledge, guidance, and research results that gives them the edge in the industry. When nurtured strategically, this is a symbiotic relationship that works for a university’s global growth.
