General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a 3-year diploma course that is run with the motive of providing a skilled workforce to the healthcare industry. The curriculum of GNM covers various subjects, including Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Nutrition, Psychology, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Community health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, and Midwifery.

GNM Nursing Diploma course from our school of Nursing, is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The curriculum for GNM nursing is designed in such a way that grants knowledge of globally accepted and standard medical concepts and various techniques that are upgraded to impart the advanced knowledge needed to meet the healthcare challenges we have been facing in our country due to a shortage of skilled workers in hospitals.

GNM students undergo rigorous clinical training in various healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, community health centers, and maternal and child health centers. This hands-on experience is crucial for developing nursing skills and competence in midwifery practices.

Upon successful completion of the GNM course, graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the respective nursing councils or boards in their country. This registration is necessary to practice as a nurse or midwife legally.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO's)
