About Event “Scrap it, not trash it” is an event hosted under Navdhara 2024, in collaboration with the NSS Cell, marking a significant stride towards sustainable living and environmental consciousness. Held on a vibrant afternoon at the heart of the campus, the event aimed to promote the ethos of recycling and up cycling among the students.
AIM of the Events
  1. Raise awareness about the environmental impact of improper waste disposal, particularly focusing on the
    harmful effects of scrap accumulation.
  2. Educate students about the importance of recycling and up cycling as effective strategies to reduce waste and conserve resources.
  3. Provide practical demonstrations and workshops on creative ways to repurpose scrap materials into useful items, encouraging innovative thinking and resourcefulness.
  4. Foster a sense of community involvement and responsibility by engaging students in hands-on activities
    such as clean-up drives and waste segregation initiatives./li>
  5. Collaborate with local recycling centers and organizations to facilitate the proper disposal and recycling of scrap materials collected during the event.
Highlights Use of recycling waste (like newspaper, used cups, steel cans, glass, plastic etc) & use of biodegradable waste thing.
