About Event A tour of the food sector for educational purposes offers priceless insights into the intricate procedures involved in producing food, from farm to table. Students have a deeper grasp of food safety, quality control, and sustainability practices by seeing firsthand the various steps of food production, packaging, and distribution. Students can see cutting-edge equipment and machinery used in food processing, such as packing lines, automated systems, and sorting machines, by visiting a food manufacturing facility. They gain knowledge about the significance of following safety rules, maintaining hygienic practices, and using quality assurance to guarantee the safety of consumers.
AIM of the Events 1. Providing students with a hands-on experience to supplement theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom.
2. Providing information to students about the technologies, procedures, and activities used in the food sector.
3. Introducing students to the wide range of job options in the food business, from marketing and logistics to food science and engineering.
4. Improving students’ knowledge of food systems, including the production, distribution, and environmental and health effects of food. This foster making informed dietary choices and advances food literacy.
5. Encouraging students to do critical analyses of the issues that the food sector faces, including sustainability, food security, and food waste.
